Dave was my neighbour at the Ottawa Art Expo 2012 and I was totally enraptured by the mood of his paintings. This piece won a major award at the show and was my favourite in his display. The longer I perused a painting, the more I discovered. His images evoke questions as to the nature of their subjects, their situations, intentions and stories past and present. One becomes quite drawn into the possible narratives behind the paintings. Dave himself was a delight to show with; a natural painter and great neighbour.
